For many years Toni Nicolini carried out the photographic campaigns for the books of the Touring Club Italiano in many Italian regions and in Europe. In the early 1960s he shared with Luigi Crocenzi the ideological outpost of the Centro per la Cultura nella Fotografia. A man of the North who loved the South, he marched with Danilo Dolci for water and against the mafias, telling an unprecedented Sicily without sun, and accompanied his friend the painter Ernesto Treccani in telling the epic of emigration from the South to the North of Italy. The book closes with a detailed biography and a bibliography.
