In 2003 the GRIN established the Amilcare G. Ponchielli prize, and from 2004 a jury made up of the editor of a periodical, a reporter, three of its own members and the representatives of the sponsors has each year considered the projects submitted. The most prestigious award in Italy, it has over time revealed talents, confirmed established authors, shown new stories, told the world and pointed out roads and paths to follow. This volume gathers the work of those honoured across ten years of activity: an atlas of drug trafficking; a study of the gift; free time; loyalty to a tribe; the Chinese far west; Umumalayika; the end of the mass; baby blues; bodies of evidence; and a battle to the death.
