A photographer and painter, Jean-Pierre Le Bars lives and works in Douarnenez. It is in Brittany that he makes most of his pictures, though photographic journeys of several weeks can take him, by bicycle and sleeping out, across the whole of France. Although he has shown his work regularly for many years in France and abroad, this is the first publication devoted to his photographs, with a text by Yves Pagès.
