Justine Kurland's latest publication takes the reader on the initiatory journey of a mother and her child across American landscapes. The series sets out a queer experience of motherhood, in tune with the artist's own family inheritance, and brings to light the split between the idea of home and the idea of travel; the leporello form weaves personal accounts and discovery into one unbroken line.
