Winner of the fanzine competition held during the festival at LE BAL in 2020, the French and Guadeloupean photographer Claire Zaniolo developed the long-term work mourning, march and celebration in France, in Brazil and in England. Between festivity and protest, these vividly coloured series document the many facets and the effervescence of such gatherings and of the communities that make them.
