The project comes down to one question: if Marcel Duchamp had played Go instead of chess, what would contemporary art look like? That counterfactual is put to work through a constructed situation and the founding of a semi-fictional Go club taking Duchamp as its tutelary figure, the Hoshi Go Club, with the photographs, records and paraphernalia that any club generates.
