The book offers new readings of the work gathered in an earlier one, Rio enquadrado of 2016, showing Rio de Janeiro beyond the usual ways it is pictured: landscapes in which nature and the architecture of the city work on one another until the built form begins to read as terrain. The pages are scored, so that the reader is invited to take part and reframe the city’s imagery for themselves, deciding which Rio de Janeiro the book finally presents.
