The last ones to know analogue life before the digital age, those born between the early 1980s and the mid-1990s, make up the so-called millennial generation. The book looks at the melancholy of a generation already counted as the one with the most diagnosed cases of depression. It shows children who grew up in the anxiety of being prodigies, of being recognised as soon as possible; a generation that believes fame means happiness; adults who play at pretending, who project themselves to the world the way they want to be seen. The project sets out to represent the millennials from the point of view of a millennial herself, so that the author is not only the narrator but a character too.
