A reclaimed brick bearing three inscriptions of the word peace in blue and sealed in a layer of wax becomes both testimony and invocation, a subtle and ambivalent dialogue between the weight of memory and a gesture towards the future. That work, held in the foundation's collection, prompted the invitation to the artist to take part in a wider programme.
