A major figure of street photography since the 1970s, Cohen has never stopped photographing his home town in Pennsylvania and the country around it. With no documentary intention, he has kept a stranger's distance for more than forty years, always alert. On an impulse lasting fractions of a second he gets extremely close to his subjects and takes them without looking through the viewfinder.
