A photographic study of office plants in Germany. Treating them as portrait sitters in black and white, Groneberg asks, with a tender kind of irony, how bureaucratic space is organised and what room is left in it for anything alive. The apparent opposition between a plant growing organically and a standardised, functional office turns into a question about the forms and the values of working life now, and about how much individuality it leaves.
