When something happens to your body in a way that dramatically influences daily life, it makes you live in a twilight zone. My Other Side shows and admits that side.

At first Camille Renée Devid was mentally unable to record her own fragile nudity and physical weakness, but in the end she had no choice: she had to do it for her own future well-being and to release her creativity. She set aside her fear and began working on herself in her darkest moments, exposing when she felt ugly, worn out and in pain — no longer the fearless and successful woman she used to be. During that process she found that showing vulnerability helped her a great deal: it turned out to be a source of empathy, connection, courage, creativity, even of love.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is a digital platform dedicated to independent photobooks, photography publications, design books, and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
