Introduction by Andi Campognone
Design by Rosa Nussbaum

Steve Diet Goedde's pictures are concerned with fetishism, but they could reasonably be regarded as fashion work, for they are about clothes and about the roles that dressing imposes on women, or allows them to play.

Inspired by the work of Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick, his first instinct was to become a filmmaker; only slowly did his attention turn to the still image. His first book brought him critical acclaim and a loyal following.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
