“The moving body changes its shape by the second, whenever one motion ceases and instantly connects to the flow of another. The idea behind this work was to try and frame these instances of transformation through lights and shadows, and to dismantle movements and reassemble them from new points of view. Muscles create powerful silhouettes when strained, while momentary shapes emerge when they are casually relaxed. Seizing the recurring moments in this chain of actions, and reconnecting the scattered pieces, resulted in images that vividly highlight the energy and potential of the human body. Formation, variation, recombination: this very process is what these pictures depict.” — Takay

ABOUT

SpineIndex is a digital platform dedicated to independent photobooks, photography publications, design books, and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
