Fury brings together a new series by Marie Quéau, winner of the 5th LE BAL/ DAGP Prize for Young Creation. The work focuses on bodies confronted with extreme states: stunt performers repeatedly thrown through windows, actors in trance within motion capture studios, freedivers in static immersion on the edge of drift, individuals giving free rein to their rage in a fury room. Through these settings, Quéau’s work invites us to question our own perception of reality. What if these moments of confrontation with our limits - when body and mind waver between control and surrender - revealed what binds us most intensely? Text: Guillaume Blanc-Marianne.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is a digital platform dedicated to independent photobooks, photography publications, design books, and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
