For over thirty-five years, Jochen Lempert has combined science and art in a unique photographic work, marked by a curious and poetic look at nature. A biologist by training, he ironically explores the relationship between culture and the natural world, focusing on the phenomena of perception and the analogies between vital and creative processes. His images, created with simple analogue means and a minimalist approach, reveal a profound sensitivity towards the forms and forces of life.
