For almost ten years, the International Meetings of Photography in Gaspésie (Quebec) and DIAPHANE (Hauts-de-France) have undertaken in-depth work in terms of hosting, cross-residencies and co-publishing. The result is a true creative laboratory for artists and our respective organizations, the outcome of which is reflected in the programming of our two annual contemporary arts events. The influence of artists and our organizations is also at the heart of this project and our partnership has been enriched over the last two years by the desire to combine literature, poetry and photography.

On the Quebec side, the writer Philippe Garon and the photographer Judith Bellavance immersed themselves in the heart of the city of Clermont and each captured with their respective medium the specificities of this city while on the French side, the writer Patrice Juiff and the photographer Robert Charlotte crossed the immense territories of Gaspésie to meet the inhabitants.

These intersections between words and photographs take us on a fictional journey to discover these territories.
