With the second volume of Bekannte Bekannte, Andreas Züst continues the border- and scene-crossing work on his collective album of remembrance. The photographic register — made between 1987 and 1996 — now strives for a certain completeness: 1,600 photos portray over 1,400 personalities, predominantly from the realm of culture, but above all from the biotope of the fine arts. Supplemented by contributions from 40 guest photographers, Bekannte Bekannte forms a fascinating panoptic archive of a decade. It again names all the names, registers them in an index, and accompanies each picture with an illuminating caption.
