Ian Anüll is a nomadic artist travelling back and forth between Barcelona, Geneva, and Paris. His work is inspired by the strategies of minimalism, conceptualism, and pop art. With watercolors from his sketching pad, painted between 1987 and 1993, he created a weightless and oblique artist's book in which "mundane things become precious, and the last things lose their weight." (NZZ)

ABOUT

SpineIndex is a digital platform dedicated to independent photobooks, photography publications, design books, and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
