J.-F. Schnyder has not for the first time made his own residential location a motif. With Zugerstrasse / Baarerstrasse 1999–2000 he undertakes a veduta of a special kind, far from beautiful natural events. The main road between Zug and Baar, an elongated Eldorado of agglomeration architecture, was the path and the goal. His concept: to photograph both sides of the street with their façades from the opposite kerb, making one picture every ten metres so that each section is recorded.
