Loch im Spiegel (Hole in the Mirror) is the result of photo sessions in many parts of the world: a market in a Beijing suburb, a puddle in a Hungarian gravel pit, a bicycle cellar in Meilen, junk-shop windows in Höngg, fashion windows in Naples, the door lock of a Swedish cemetery, the smoking room of Bern's municipal theatre, a long exposure through an aircraft window on approach, a cave-bear skeleton before an Art Nouveau balustrade in a Paris bone museum, the deep-sea diver of Gijón, the red stag by the airport toilet in Kiruna. In two years about a thousand photos arose, from which some seventy are gathered in the series. Of interest are passages, caves, windows, tunnels, mirrors and apertures.
