In his first book, Per Björn tell us about hippies that in early 70s were hanging out in Farsta Centre, one of Stockholm’s new model suburbs. He was studying interior architecture and wanted to look at possible designs for the youth centre but became more interested in the young visitors and started photographing them. With time, he witnessed how their longing for freedom also had a darker side.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is a digital platform dedicated to independent photobooks, photography publications, design books, and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
