The author distinguishes himself as one of the critics who do not remain estranged from the artistic life of their time, but engage actively, accompanying with their writings the creative work of artists, debating ideas, entering into the thick of controversies - both with reviews of new works and, above all, with reasoned articles. The essays collected in this book refer to twelve artists with whom the writer has had a lasting collaborative relationship, a constant exchange over the years, so that for each artist several contributions are reported, often contemporary with the making of the work, produced with the aim of offering a tool for reading the individual authorial practice. These thirty-two writings are also to be considered an act of trust of the artists towards the critic.
