In her debut book, Maria Siorba explores the connections underlying the emotional dynamics of our generation. Photography responds to a secret call that seems to penetrate the meshes of thought like sunlight through a curtain in a dimly lit room. In Blank Verse, the questioning of subjective and relational perspective, with respect to the inaccessibility of any inner phenomenon, takes the form of a silent flow of telepathy exercises, lunar apparitions and magnetic attractions. The copper-coloured surfaces alternating along the entire sequence reveal the metaphysical nature of the exploration of identity, transforming the images into messengers from the underground realm of sensations.
