Urban Parks – Green Lungs of the City is a project developed between 2015 and 2016 that reflects on the use of public spaces, particularly parks. From 1660, when St. James's Park in London was opened to the public, to today, they have become increasingly sought-after spaces both within and outside cities. Roberts's spacious images are perfect for describing these places where every modern citizen has sought refuge at least once in search of a drop of sunshine. The project thus illustrates the constantly evolving nature of urban parks and the philosophies behind them, which reflect the cultural history and social values of their origins.
