These Photos, by Steve Panariti, are of Barriera, but it doesn’t matter if they weren’t all taken in Barriera di Milano, Turin, where he lived as a teenager. they have the raw flavour of Barriera, the strong contrast and a certain ramshackle, live-action aesthetic. His approach is that of a crooner and his portraits are devoid of embellishments, deliberately anti-gracious.
