The new edition of Magnum Photos' annual independent publication, dedicated to collective documentary photojournalism. Building on the legacy of the Generation X project Robert Capa launched in 1951, in which the cooperative's photographers were sent around the world to portray the post-war generation, it brings together Magnum photographers to create a vivid and nuanced portrait of Generation Z, those aged 14 to 29 born between 1997 and 2012. Photographers work collaboratively with young people in over ten countries, including Chien-Chi Chang in Taiwan, Myriam Boulos in Lebanon, Newsha Tavakolian in Iran, Cristina de Middel in Brazil, Emin Özmen in Colombia, Zied Ben Romdhane in Tunisia, Antoine d'Agata in Georgia, Sakir Khader in Palestine and Syria, and Salih Basheer with Sudanese refugees.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
