A group of images taken between 1998 and 2008 in Sardinia, in the village of Santu Lussurgiu. It is the second instalment of the photographer’s triptych, after a portrait of the city of Tulle and before ongoing work on a kibbutz in Israel. Faigenbaum, long focused almost exclusively on portraits, describes his distrust of populist clichés and national local colour in approaching landscape and settings.
