Bernard Plossu has criss-crossed Italy for over forty years, by foot, car and train, from Piedmont to Apulia and from Turin to Palermo. He selected over 150 photographs, in black and white and in colour using Fresson matt carbon prints, many published here for the first time. Far from the usual shots of Italy’s high temples, he alternates street scenes, marinas, landscapes seen from moving trains and wilder islands.
