Shigekazu Onuma has worked extensively in advertising and magazine photography, publishing his first book, Hello My Name is Shigekazu Onuma, in 2001. This self-titled publication was released for an exhibition at limArt Gallery in Tokyo in 2011. It contains his recent work from the time, along with a selection of photographs from his previous exhibition, Seisai, which was held at Foil Gallery in 2009.

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
