Sixty-eight times a window ... not wall hole and house detail. Infinitely many things are in their own way a window. The window as an object is only the occasion for thought for a collection of image-synonyms. Their theme is the constellation of the moment, the situation “at the window”. We look away and stay here. For these pictures and for the concept a new word: WindAuge, an artificial word repatriated into German from “window”. In “window” are the words for wind and eye: wind and ow. Windows separate and connect. No life without seeing, no life without windows. The window gives us the freedom of the gaze, of fantasy, of thought.
