This book is dedicated to the light graphics from the late work of Hajek-Halke. It shows him as an idiosyncratic designer in the context of abstract art after the Second World War, as a representative of Informel and the École de Paris. The first of these works were made on an old animation stand for animated films, without a photographic original and thus without real images. The abstraction of this way of working would remain decisive for the rest of his oeuvre, which spanned a good two more decades: even where visible reality plays into the images, the construction is abstract, often determined by chance.
