A book of vibrant colour photographs created from the entire archive of Seiji Shibuya's work, including pictures he had actually forgotten about; editing it took roughly a year, and the sequencing is one of its strong points. Many of the photographs deal with natural elements, and several sections riff on the same subject, such as fire or flowers: six or seven images in a row, taken from similar but slightly different perspectives. Beyond this editing technique there are a number of striking snapshots that can stand on their own, and some vague images are balanced by others with exceptionally strong composition. DANCE is printed in a large format on a paper with a slightly rough texture, which complements the work exceptionally well.
