Photobook dummy by Stephen Wilson (Ireland), shortlisted for the Dummy Award 2026. A book of slides with images of winter light, taken in the immediate aftermath of an unexpected diagnosis, at age 57, of severe ADHD. But like the Kodachrome 64 slides of the author's childhood, when you follow the instructions to View From Other Side you see how, with medication and a diagnosis, the world starts to look different when it is back to front. The dummy comes in a yellow film-mailer pouch holding a small yellow case with two slide mounts labelled with the title. The Dummy Award, organised by the PhotoBookMuseum in Cologne, shortlisted 48 unpublished dummies from about 325 entries from more than 45 countries; the shortlist travels on a world tour of photography events and venues.
