White noise can be described as a sound heard as a light hiss, similar to the sound of wind rustling through trees or a waterfall, for example...
In practice, however, white noise doesn't exist: it's a theoretical idealization, and in this case, the book's blank pages become a pretext to pay homage to the way the inhabitants of the Emilian Apennines experience and experience the mountains.
It's a meditation on the silence of the landscape, but also the suggestion of the mountain as escape, the mountain as return, but above all, the mountain as home.
In this complex work of photography and writing, faces appear and disappear, and stories are passed down from mouth to mouth, often becoming legends.
