A collaboration between Kyoji Takahashi and the younger photographer Yu Ukai, who each contributed pictures taken with a Leica. The two bodies of work are mixed in complete harmony, with no guideline to show which photograph belongs to whom, and the images ignore the up and down and the left and right of their subjects, as if released from gravity. It marks the return of Takahashi, who in the 1990s worked with 8x10 negative film and finished original colour prints in his own darkroom, then quit commissioned work and withdrew from view, becoming something of a legend, before resuming his unrestrained activity in 2008.
