In Rest 3000~ Stay 5000~, Tokyo-based photographer Tokyo Rumando explores the world of the Tokyo's love hotels. Visiting more than 20 love hotels in areas such as Shinjuku, Ikebukuro and Yoshiwara, Tokyo Rumando explores the historical and cultural aspects of the hotels through self-portraiture. Exposing the private worlds of intimacy where excitement, fantasy and love are sought out behind the facade of Japan's well ordered and clean society.
