Born out of a long research into instruction manuals, Viewfinders is a collection of portraits in which the sitters present themselves as seekers of new views simply by handling a camera — and, this is the key, by holding it upside down. Displacing the traditional way of using that interstitial space where reality and imagination meet, the viewfinder becomes a generator of something else.
