Alanna Fields works with found vernacular pictures of Black queer life, veiling and unveiling them with layers of wax and tape so that what was hidden in the archive is both protected and brought forward. Poems by Sumia Juxun run through the volume, and the folds of the sequence turn each turning page into a gesture of revealing.
