Émeric Lhuisset works on geopolitical questions through art, using photography for its connection to reality and questioning both how his subjects are represented and the role of the reporter in contemporary conflict. Made in Ukraine after the full-scale invasion, the large-format work presents a hundred hidden faces and serves as the basis for exhibitions in galleries and in the street; it follows his 2014 project made in an improvised open-air studio on the main square in Kyiv during the Revolution of Dignity.
