In 1990, this artist, born in a small Swiss alpine village and educated as a primary school teacher, traveled abroad. An intended six-month stay turned into thirty years and counting, during which he studied and became a creative director leading campaigns for major global brands. His native village of 250 inhabitants could not be more different from the metropolis that became his new home. Against the odds, he has tried for decades to maintain a connection to the place and people he left behind, presenting an intimate exploration of emotions confronted with the accelerated changes there, experienced as if captured in a time-lapse.
