Four exhibitions were born, artistic projects that were first conceived, compared and then reflected in the writings of curators, unusual in terms of research backgrounds yet capable of weaving major symbolic networks. Lucid, conflicting readings emerged, illuminated by unexpected angles, where restlessness became a means of understanding, and disturbance became a device of beauty. Four exhibitions, in an unusual space that has known art for decades, all concurrently though each in its own space, by choice of parataxis of the imagination and the symbolic, for no city can be – nor would we want it to be – linear. Four visions like flashes, but which are and remain a valuable point of observation for us and for those who have seen the exhibitions, and for those who browse through these pages.
