A24 Screenplay Collection 002

Book 002 in the A24 Screenplay Collection, dedicated to The Witch (2015), the debut feature written and directed by Robert Eggers — a meticulously researched New England folktale set in 1630, starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Ineson and Kate Dickie, winner of the Directing Award at Sundance 2015. The book presents Eggers' script alongside short fiction by Carmen Maria Machado, a conversation between Eggers and historian David D. Hall, the director's production sketches, the film's full credits and the '24 Frames' section of director-selected stills. One of the first three books in the collection, launched in September 2019 in a first edition of 2000 copies, offset printed in Europe on Munken and Garda paper with a debossed cover and glossy tip-in image. Published by A24, distributed through MACK.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
