In this intimate series Cédric Delsaux continues exploring reality in a fictional state. Strongly influenced by the Jean-Claude Romand case, popularised by Emmanuel Carrère’s novel L’Adversaire, he travelled for three years around the Gex region on the Swiss border, capturing in the solitude of his car what the man may have felt, trapped in a lie lived for 18 years. The beauty of the images reveals the vision of a wayward society.
