The French-Algerian photographer, winner of the Prix Henri Cartier-Bresson 2023, explores the nights of Haute-Kabylie in northern Algeria, a mountainous territory that stands in the collective imagination for resistance to imperialism, colonisation and terror across the ages. He focuses on the urban landscapes, architecture and vegetation shaping the place; a grandson of Kabyles, he does not claim an identity quest but a reading of a territory by night.
