Marius Müller-Westernhagen said goodbye to the stadiums of the republic in 1999 with the “Radio Maria” tour; it could go no higher for the most successful German musician of the nineties. It was time to pause and ask what was still to come in life and in artistic work. In Versuch dich zu erinnern MMW, questioned by Manfred Bissinger, speaks about the things that move him and the people in his life. At the same time this lavishly produced book is a colourful tribute in pictures: Dieter Eikelpoth, for many years Müller-Westernhagen’s “house photographer”, accompanied him on tours and into the studio, photographing him privately and in action, with musicians and friends.
