The footprints of seventy years spent watching a changing era and its spaces and imprinting the life that dwells in them. Osamu Murai, who photographed the representative works of Kenzo Tange and Seiichi Shirai and kept revealing his time as an architectural photographer, is also remembered for the series Squares and Sculptures of the World, which shows the deep relationship between space, sculpture and people. The book is the summation of those seventy years and also includes important unpublished work, such as European modernist architecture and poetic buildings in Korea. Murai never stopped turning his eyes to the shepherd's purse growing by the roadside, and the crossing of space and life emerges from the pages.
