A project that began with the wives of Masayuki Yoshinaga's friends, old-fashioned and anachronistically domineering husbands, who often consulted him about the unquestioning acceptance of such behaviour. Wanting these husbands to think more about their wives' perspective, he came up with the idea of photographing quarrel scenes in which the husbands are dominated by their wives. He sees the strength and sagacity of women as a constant feature of contemporary society, and the pictures aim to give at least a small taste of that strength and menace. The book closes with his thanks to every husband and wife who agreed to be photographed. The red cover has its lettering stamped in gold.
