An experimental collaboration born from the shoot for the poster of Crocodile Tears, a 2008 stage play directed by Takashi Kawamura, a director and writer. The actor Toru Tezuka, posing as the model, kept shaking his head without resistance while Hideyuki Suto pressed the shutter, his head tracing irregular curved lines through the frame. Every picture captures Tezuka's eyes shining for an instant, intentionally or by accident. Kawamura, a standard-bearer of stage performance who also writes novels, essays and criticism, closes the book with new poetry.
