While advice such as “tell a story with each image” is common wisdom in the photography world, few photographers possess the ability to deliver little jokes and anecdotes with visual punchlines with their work. One such rare talent is Hong Kong-based photographer Chow san, whose street photographs in “No Teacher But I Can Take Photos” manage to pull off the feat of documenting daily life in the Asian megacity with sharp and warm-hearted humor.
